Parachutist / SOE Knee Pads.

A very nice, original and rare 1943 dated pair of knee pads.
These knee pads were issued to British Paratroops and SOE parachutists in the early years of parachuting. A leather lace is used as a quick release.
British made and at that time copied from the knee pads of German Fallschirmjäger.
One of the attached images shows a copy of a photo from the book Ganze Männer (Hauptmann Piehl, about the German Fallschirmjäger). Look at the simularity to the British knee pads.
